Hey, MadVladders, long time no see. I know, I know, you’re devastated by my absence. However, Nov-December was full of medical shit: three different family members (grandma, cat, dog), three different medical interventions. These ranged from spaying (not grandma), to blood transfusions and hip replacement surgery (grandma). Everyone is fine and dandy!
And then we had a little democratic snafu, where some people wanted Romania to go back to the dark ages of communism and no freedom of expression.
Between family stuff and political turmoil, I can’t really remember when I last had a good night’s sleep. So please excuse my absence, but know I wasn’t busy just scratching my B00ls. On the contrary…
However, in order to make it up to you, today I’m bringing a treat. Instead of rivers of words (like we usually do around here), you get another video material. Yay!
Or… Yay?
Anyay… or anyway, here it is:
Should you watch it?
Seeing as this is my newsletter, of course I’m going to say Yes. Let me provide some context. The lovely Shafiq Saiq(o) asked me to deliver a Q&A session to his ‘The Saiqo Writer’ community, and I pounced on the opportunity.
We mostly tackled topics along the lines of:
- How to incorporate a client’s voice in writing
- What to include in a brief for a blog post (SEO)
- How to do quality outreach to prospects and how to position yourself
- How important it is to have a presence on social media, namely LinkedIn.
And then I gave the floor to his writers who wanted to know more about:
How to get leads on LinkedIn and other platforms
How to build in public
Hot to talk to clients
How to get engagement on LinkedIn
How to build a LinkedIn strategy
How to move into the strategic side of writing (how to offer consultancy)
How to improve your writing on a daily basis
How to find your ICP (Ideal Client Persona)
How to handle (or not handle) unpaid work
Would all this be interesting for a freelance writer?
You can bet your ASS.
Would all this be interesting for a marketer?
Freelance marketer or not, if you want to get more clients on social media, I’d give it a watch.
Would all this be interesting for a business owner/founder?
A definite yes if you’re thinking about working with me and want to know what I’m about. Also if you don’t want to work with me and wish to handle your own social media presence, specifically on LinkedIn.
This is what the community had to say about our session:
So, without further ado…
The video
If you’re not interested in my boring life story, just skip to 09.15. (wow… 9 minutes of self introduction… you shit :)))
Why should you work with me on SEO writing (blogs)?
As Oli says… only in this case :))
Going forward
It will take some time for you to dissect this one, I’m sure. However, since I’m a generous Vlad, I’m going to feature the next episode as early as next week. You know why? Because I didn’t write it, ha haha hahahaaa!!!
Speaking of funny (not funny) stuff, if you loved this issue, you might be interested in:

Santa Grundy is coming to town. And going to town on boundaries.
I already teased this guest issue on the Poker episode without even realizing it. Tell me you liked that, Tom, you big poker fan.
In the meantime, you can get access to the full archive here if you missed any other issue.
Still open for submissions
Pitching is officially open. If you’re a writer (a person who writes, you don’t have to identify as a professional writer) with a great story to share with the B00ls audience, hit me up.
You can talk about stuff that lights you up and promote yourself at the same time.
I ONLY HAVE ONE RULE:
It has to be quality content, relevant to the B00ls audience.
In the meantime
If you liked my stuff, this is how we can work together:
I write for you so you can do videos or… whatever you enjoy. Check out the Experience section on my LinkedIn.
I consult marketers and founders. Trust me, all that freelance experience comes might handy when you know shit about nothing.
I consult writers. I made myself great, I can teach you how to do it for yourself. If you have the B00ls, that is.
Are you a writer/marketer/founder who wants to do better?
Reply to this e-mail if you’re interested in the above.
Know somebody who’d also like that? Share my newsletter and point them in my direction. I’ll give you a beer/coffee (gotta keep that gut slim, na?) if you’re ever in Brașov.
Offer 1 is detailed up on LinkedIn.
Offers 2 and 3 are detailed up on LinkedIn. But you can also find them here:
I’m open for consultancy services. Just reply to this e-mail if you’re interested.
Surprise!!!
We’re still hush-hush about it, so keep it on the down low: I’m launching a new consultancy service next year. One word: STRATEGY.
That’s all you’re getting from me in 2024. When the 4 becomes 5, I’ll spill the beans. Watch this space. It’s gonna get… interesting.
Cheers
If this was the first, but also last time we meet: Thank you.
I write for myself, but you reading my writing gives it additional meaning. I literally could not resonate without you.
